Waterfront Manager, Megan Morrish

A member of the front-of-house team since the Waterfront opened, Megan Morrish was appointed General Manager in 2010.Meg has a keen eye for detail, leads by example and refuses to accept second-best. ‘I find some people try to take advantage of my age, but I think I’ve had to cope with most of the more difficult situations by now.’ She believes it is important for the Waterfront customers to feel welcome and to have fun, and she expects a high level of commitment from her staff. Away from the pressure of work Meg is a competitive golfer. ‘When I do get some time off, I find I’m still pushing myself to achieve. I do love a challenge.’

Deputy Manager, Anne Harrigan

Before joining the Waterfront Anne worked as Pub & Restaurant Manager in a quintessential Buckinghamshire village. Although in a successful role there, Anne’s heart belonged in the Midlands. Before being offered the role of Deputy Manager at the Waterfront Anne often frequented the bar and restaurant, enjoying the fine wine and good food, so you can imagine how delighted she was to become part of the team. Anne loves the happy environment at the Waterfront, and the way the pub’s always evolving & taking up fresh ideas. The staff are great too!

Outside work Anne enjoys her time with family & friends as week as long walks with her rescued Border Collie dog Aoife.

Assistant Manager, Clare Kilkie

After university, Clare joined the Waterfront Front of House team in 2009 and was soon promoted to Team Leader in the restaurant. Her hard work and effort was again rewarded when appointed Assistant Manager in February 2012.

Clare claims she learns something new everyday. ‘There is never a dull moment,’ she says.

 

Events Co Ordinator, Laura Bradshaw

Laura joined the Waterfront at the beginning of October 2012. With a background spanning sixteen years in catering, seven of those in the events industry, Laura has a wealth of experience and plenty of ideas!

“When helping to plan a wedding, it’s important to build up a relationship with the couple. They trust you with the most important day of their lives, and each wedding is unique and different. There is always pressure when you are planning such an important event, but also a buzz when you help to make it what they want.”

Away from work, Laura loves travelling, eating out and cooking.
